Scary, Scary
OK--so most of you know that I own a gift boutique here in our small lovely town. This has been a dream of mine for a long, long time and it has truly been a blessing the past four years. Well, lately I have had this weird feeling about it. I don't know if it is the economy, burnout, or what but I have had this feeling that I have never had about it. Sometimes I think that God is telling me to close its doors and then other times I think I am just thinking to much. I don't know--but the other day I was checking the stores bank account and I saw fraudulent charges on there. Somehow someone had gotten my check card number and charged money to these apartment rent places. It scared me half to death. Luckily they didn't wipe me out!!! It made me feel sick inside--like I had be violated. Has that happened to anyone else? See what I mean--is God trying to tell me something or am I just being silly? I don't know--I love having the business--but there is quite a bit of stress involved--I wonder if every business owner goes through this. I am sure they do. If you have a minute--pray for me--I hate this feeling.

Oh, man that is SCARY stuff! I bet it does get scary at times and yes part of it does have to do with the economy.
Here's what I do when I feel like I need to make a decision about something. Make a list. List the pro's and con's, sometimes listing helps for you to see a concrete example of what you like or don't like about a situation.
Has this feeling been going on for a long time or is it just recently? Is there something else that you're interested in doing? Can you imagine your life without the store? Do you want to go back to life as it was before you opened it? These are all questions to take into consideration and maybe you could write your answers down on your list. Not only will it help to pray about it and ask Him for help, but the other might help you as well. Maybe give you a clear head about it all. Talk to Ty about it and your kids. They may all have a diff. insight on the whole thing. Just some thoughts here girl, and I will pray for you as well. Love ya. K
and NO....I don't think you're being silly at all. Our gut usually knows if something seems off.
That sucks. We had someone steal our debit card# and they had a really good time in Cancun. Sheesh.
I'm sorry you are not feeling right and I hope you start feeling better soon. I will be shopping at TBB!

We just had our debit card # stolen last month. It was VERY scary and sickening.
I can't think of anything to add to Katy's sage advice. I think those are all important questions to ask yourself.
I'll be praying that you receive the wisdom and direction you need, sweet friend.
Christy- I'm sure not going to tell you what to do or how to feel...but when I go to TBB, I see a woman's dream in motion and it makes me proud to be your friend (jealous, but proud!). As someone who has given up on dreaming for the time being, I think it's beautiful that you are able to do what you do...that you are supported by your family in doing so...and that you are so successful at it! Don't let mean spirited people drag you down...their actions are (in my opinion) not a sign from God so much as a sign of the times we live in. The world is rotten...and that's why it's beautiful to see someone living out their dreams in spite of the yick all around us. Hold your head high and keep on dreaming, girl! It's a blessing to witness!
Wow! THat is terrible! i am so sorry!!! THankfully you sensed something was wrong and found that. Your gut will tell you what you need to do. Just keep praying about it and God will help you!
go check out the Nesting Place ...you can find it on my blog in the places i follow... you'll love all the pictures she shows! Too much darn fun
